Ganduje emerges chairman of University of Ibadan alumni board of trustees

The immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has emerged Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Ibadan Alumni Association Worldwide.
The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, was also emerged and inaugurated as Vice Chairman of the Board.
Ganduje, an alumnus of the University of Ibadan, has maintained a strong relationship with his alma mater and contributed to its development.
Among his notable contributions is the facilitation of an ultra-modern 500-seat lecture theatre, named the Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje Lecture Theatre, at the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences.

In recognition of his contributions, the university honoured him with the Most Distinguished Alumni Award in March 2022.
Ganduje served as Governor of Kano State from 2015 to 2023 and twice as Deputy Governor between 1999–2003 and 2011–2015. He later served as National Chairman of the APC.
The new Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Ibadan Alumni Association, Dr. Ganduje, attended the University of Ibadan (UI) from 1989 to 1993. He obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Administration upon completing his doctoral studies in 1993.
His emergence alongside Oba Gbadebo III is expected to strengthen the leadership and development efforts of the University of Ibadan Alumni Association Worldwide.
