The Forum of Former Commissioners of Kano State, 2015–2023, has congratulated former Kano State Governor and immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on his appointment to the APC Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 election.

The forum described the appointment as fitting and well deserved, citing Ganduje’s decades of experience in public administration, governance, party leadership and grassroots politics.

In a congratulatory letter dated August 31, 2026, the forum said Ganduje’s latest assignment reflected the confidence reposed in his experience, political maturity, extensive networks and capacity to mobilise critical stakeholders for the success of the APC and the Tinubu/Shettima ticket.

The former commissioners, who served under Ganduje during his tenure as governor from 2015 to 2023, said they were particularly proud of his appointment, having witnessed his leadership style and political experience while serving in the Kano State Executive Council.

The former commissioners said the mobilisation of senior citizens and other strategic stakeholders for the 2027 campaign would require maturity, credibility, tact, persuasion and extensive networks.

They expressed confidence that Ganduje’s longstanding relationships across political, governmental, traditional, professional and community institutions would enable him to effectively engage stakeholders and contribute to the APC’s electoral objectives.

“Having had the privilege of serving in the Kano State Executive Council under your leadership, we witnessed at close quarters your resilience, political dexterity, administrative experience and capacity to navigate the intricate demands of governance and political leadership,” the former commissioners said.
