Under the state’s constitutional framework, commissioner nominees are subject to legislative screening and consideration before their appointments can be confirmed.
If confirmed, the nominees will join the State Executive Council, where commissioners are responsible for overseeing their respective ministries, implementing government policies and advising the governor on matters relating to governance and public service delivery.
The House of Assembly is expected to conduct the necessary screening and consideration of the nominees before making a decision on their confirmation.
