How to apply for FRSC recruitment 2026 as portal opens nationwide

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has officially commenced its 2026 nationwide recruitment exercise, inviting suitably qualified Nigerians to apply for vacancies across its Officer, Marshal Inspectorate and Road Marshal Assistant cadres.

The Corps said the recruitment exercise is aimed at attracting competent, disciplined and committed individuals to strengthen road safety administration and traffic management across the country.

According to the FRSC, the recruitment process is completely free of charge, warning applicants to disregard anyone requesting payment for employment.

Interested applicants are required to submit their applications online through the official FRSC recruitment portal:

The Corps said the application portal opens on Friday, July 3, 2026, and will remain accessible for four weeks from the commencement date.

Applicants are advised to register using their personal email address and phone number, as these will be used for all official communications. Shortlisted candidates will be required to present printed copies of their application forms during the screening exercise.

Available Cadres

The recruitment covers the following categories:

Officer Cadre

• Superintendent Route Commander (SRC) – CONPASS 11: Applicants must possess an MBBS/MBBCH degree, valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, and be between 18 and 35 years of age.
• Route Commander/Deputy Route Commander (RC/DRC) – CONPASS 10/09: Applicants must hold degrees in Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Law, Engineering or other relevant disciplines, with NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. Candidates must be between 18 and 35 years.
• Assistant Route Commander (ARC) – CONPASS 08: Applicants must possess a B.Sc, BA or HND from recognised institutions, alongside NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. The age limit is 18 to 35 years.

Marshal Inspectorate Cadre

Vacancies are available for Marshal Inspector II and III (MI-II & MI-III) under CONPASS 07 and 06.

Applicants must possess NCE, ND, Registered Nursing (RN/RM), Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) qualifications or equivalent certificates from recognised institutions and must be between 18 and 30 years.

Road Marshal Assistant Cadre

The Road Marshal Assistant category includes:

• Road Marshal Assistant II & III (RMA II & III) – CONPASS 04 & 03
• Drivers/Riders
• Artisans

Applicants must possess a minimum of three credit passes in SSCE (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) obtained in not more than two sittings, including English Language and Mathematics, and be between 18 and 30 years.

The Drivers/Riders and Artisans category is open to computer operators, drivers, mechanics, motorcycle riders, electricians, instrumentalists, tailors, plumbers, and other skilled professionals.

Applicants in this category must also possess relevant trade certificates or professional qualifications where applicable, while drivers and riders must hold the appropriate class of valid driver’s licence. Drivers of articulated or tow trucks must be between 26 and 40 years.

General Requirements

The FRSC said applicants must:

• Be Nigerians by birth.
• Be computer literate.
• Possess genuine academic and professional qualifications.
• Be medically fit and present a Medical Fitness Certificate from a government-approved hospital.
• Be single.
• Have a minimum height of 1.65 metres for males and 1.58 metres for females.
• Possess current practising licences where applicable.
• Be of good character, free from criminal convictions and financial indebtedness.
• Have no tattoos on any part of the body.
• Register using their personal email address and phone number.

The Corps added that possession of a valid National Driver’s Licence will be an added advantage for applicants across all cadres.

Prospective applicants who are pregnant have been advised not to apply.

The FRSC reiterated that the recruitment exercise is entirely free, urging prospective applicants to ignore fraudsters or anyone demanding payment in exchange for employment.

The Corps noted that the recruitment forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen its workforce and improve road safety administration nationwide.
