NUJ Jigawa Congratulates State on 34th Anniversary, Commends Governor Namadi’s Achievements

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Jigawa State Council, has congratulated the government and people of the state on the occasion of its 34th anniversary, following its creation from the old Kano State in 1991.

In a statement signed by the Acting Secretary of the Council, Comrade Aminu Umar Shuwajo, the NUJ, under the leadership of Chairman Comrade Isma’il Ibrahim Dutse, acknowledged the contributions of past military and civilian administrations to the socio-economic development of the state over the last three decades.

The Council particularly commended the administration of Governor Malam Umar Namadi, FCA, for initiating impactful policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare and livelihoods of Jigawa citizens.

The NUJ also praised Governor Namadi’s commitment to advancing key sectors such as agriculture, health, education, and youth empowerment, as well as maintaining Jigawa’s reputation as one of the most peaceful and stable states in Nigeria.

The Union expressed its best wishes for continued peace, prosperity, and greater development for Jigawa State in the years ahead.
