Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, has commended the member representing Tudun Wada/Doguwa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, for extending empowerment support to farmers, women and young people in his constituency.
Garo gave the commendation while representing Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at an empowerment programme organised by the lawmaker at Kwankwasiyya City, where beneficiaries received agricultural equipment, vehicles, motorcycles, sewing machines and cash support.

He appreciated Doguwa for prioritising farmers, women and young people, urging beneficiaries to make productive use of the items to improve their livelihoods.
Speaking at the event, Doguwa said the programme was organised to appreciate party members and supporters for their contributions and commitment at ward and local government levels.
He disclosed that beneficiaries were selected from Burumburum, Baburi and Dalawa wards in Tudun Wada Local Government Area.
According to him, the empowerment package included 10 mechanised tractors, luxury vehicles, motorcycles and sewing machines, alongside cash donations ranging from ₦20,000 to ₦200,000.
Doguwa said the cash component alone exceeded ₦25 million, in addition to the other empowerment items distributed during the programme.
He urged beneficiaries to utilise the support responsibly, noting that productive use of the items would create opportunities for others to benefit from similar interventions.
The lawmaker said the initiative aligned with the agricultural and economic development priorities of the Tinubu administration and the Kano State Government, particularly in supporting farmers, women and young people.
Also in attendance were the Director-General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, and Hon. Muntari Ishaq Yakasai, alongside other government officials and political stakeholders.
