Dawakin Tofa Chairman leads delegation on courtesy visit to Ganduje

The Chairman of Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State, Hon. Anas Mukhtar Bello Danmaliki, has led a high-powered delegation of the local government on a courtesy visit to former Kano State Governor and immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, CON.

The delegation comprised the Vice Chairman of the council, the Local Government Secretary, councillors, advisers and other senior government officials.

The visit, which took place at Dr. Ganduje’s residence, was aimed at paying homage to the former governor and appreciating his leadership and contributions to the development of Kano State and Dawakin Tofa Local Government.

During the meeting, the delegation acknowledged Dr. Ganduje’s years of public service and sought to benefit from his wealth of experience and leadership as an elder statesman.

Discussions also centred on the need to promote unity, responsible leadership, peaceful coexistence and sustained efforts toward strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC), while advancing grassroots development and improving the welfare of the people.

Speaking during the visit, Hon. Danmaliki expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded to the delegation and commended Dr. Ganduje for his continued guidance and commitment to the progress of Kano State.

He noted that the visit further strengthened the relationship between the local government leadership and the former governor, describing his advice and encouragement as invaluable to the administration’s commitment to effective governance and service delivery.

In his remarks, Dr. Ganduje commended the leadership of Dawakin Tofa Local Government for the visit and urged them to remain united, focused and committed to serving the people with sincerity, fairness and accountability. He stressed the importance of peaceful coexistence, grassroots development and inclusive leadership, noting that sustainable progress can only be achieved when leaders place the interests of the people above personal considerations.

The former governor also encouraged the council leadership to mentor and support younger politicians by providing them with opportunities to develop their leadership potential, describing youth inclusion and political succession as essential for sustaining democracy and ensuring the continued growth and stability of the APC.

The delegation also offered prayers for Dr. Ganduje, asking Almighty Allah to grant him good health, long life, wisdom and continued strength as he remains a respected leader and statesman contributing to the development of Kano State and Nigeria.
