
Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, has received an Award of Excellence in recognition of his contributions and sustained support to members of a political association led by former Kano State governorship aspirant, Alhaji Inuwa Waya.
The award was presented during a courtesy visit by Alhaji Inuwa Waya and members of the association to the Deputy Governor on Wednesday.
Receiving the honour, Garo expressed profound appreciation to the former governorship aspirant and the association for the recognition, describing the gesture as a source of encouragement to continue serving the people of Kano State.

The Deputy Governor noted that his relationship with Inuwa Waya dates back to 2021, when both leaders began working together towards the political, economic, religious, and social development of Kano State.
He described Inuwa Waya as a long-standing ally and development partner whose commitment to the progress of Kano has remained consistent over the years.
He emphasized the need for continued understanding and cooperation among party faithful, stressing that unity remains critical to achieving the collective aspirations of the party and the development of Kano State.
Garo reiterated his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peace, inclusiveness, and sustainable development, while thanking the delegation for the honour bestowed on him.
