A veteran journalist and broadcaster, Aliyu Abubakar Getso, has passed away in Kano.
Family sources confirmed to Kano Times that the veteran broadcaster died on Sunday morning after a prolonged illness.
The late Getso was a respected voice in the Nigerian media industry, having worked with several prominent radio stations, including Kano State Radio Corporation, Freedom Radio, Premier Radio, and Vision FM.

He is survived by three wives, several children, and grandchildren.
The funeral prayer (Janazah) is scheduled to hold at 9:30 a.m. today (Sunday) at his residence around Second Gate, Janbulo, Kabuga area of Kano City.
