Yakasai Nomination: DG Dan’agundi Commends Governor Abba, Pledges Loyalty and Support

The Director-General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, nim, has commended Kano State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for forwarding the name of Dr. Mukhtar Ishaq Yakasai, (APC leader in Kano Municipal Local Government Area) to the Kano State House of Assembly for screening and possible appointment as a commissioner. Dan’agundi described the nomination as a mark of honour and a demonstration of the governor’s confidence in Yakasai’s leadership qualities and capacity to contribute to the development of Kano State.

He described Yakasai as a patient, approachable and experienced politician with sound judgment, excellent interpersonal skills and a strong understanding of public service. According to Dan’agundi, Yakasai’s leadership experience and ability to relate effectively with people extend beyond Kano Municipal, positioning him to make meaningful contributions to the development of the entire state if confirmed and appointed. “Dr. Mukhtar Ishaq Yakasai is a man of patience, good character and excellent human relations. He has the capacity to serve not only Kano Municipal but Kano State as a whole,” he said.

Dan’agundi stressed that the governor’s gesture would not be taken for granted, noting that the nomination carried a responsibility to demonstrate commitment, loyalty and a genuine dedication to the progress of Kano State. He added that the confidence reposed in Yakasai and his political associates would further strengthen their resolve to support initiatives aimed at promoting good governance, public service and sustainable development across the state.

“We will not disappoint His Excellency. We will justify the trust and confidence he has placed in us, and we will continue to support efforts that promote progress, peace and development in Kano State,” Dan’agundi declared. He expressed confidence that, if confirmed by the Kano State House of Assembly and subsequently appointed, Yakasai would bring his wealth of experience, sound judgment and strong interpersonal skills to bear on his responsibilities, contributing positively to the administration and the overall development of the state.
