Governor Yusuf Confirms Bilkisu Maimota as Kano Head of Service

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has confirmed Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Maimota as the substantive Head of the Kano State Civil Service, marking a significant step in the administration’s ongoing public service reforms.

The confirmation was disclosed in a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, following a high-profile event for the unveiling of the sixth tranche of payments aimed at settling long-standing gratuities and death benefits owed to pensioners and families of deceased civil servants.

Maimota’s elevation to the position signals her rise to one of the most influential administrative roles in the state and is seen as a strategic move to stabilise the bureaucracy and strengthen institutional efficiency.
