Matawalle Forum Reaffirms Dauran, Unveils New Zamfara Executives

The Amalgamated Matawalle Forums has reaffirmed Hon. Abubakar Justice Dauran as Chairman of the Forum in Zamfara State and constituted a new State Executive Council as part of efforts to strengthen its political structure and grassroots mobilisation.

The decision was announced in a statement issued on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, and signed by the Forum’s Publicity Secretary, Zaharadeen Sarki.

The Forum, an umbrella platform for groups, supporters and stakeholders associated with former Zamfara State Governor, Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle, said the leadership changes were aimed at strengthening its organisational structure and coordination across the state.

Under the new arrangement, Dr. Lawal Umar Maradun was appointed State Deputy Chairman, while Hon. Suleman Tunau Anka emerged as State Secretary and Hon. Sanusi Sarki as State Treasurer.

Other members of the newly constituted State Executive Council are Dr. Abdulkadir Aliyu Shinkafi, Assistant State Treasurer; Hon. Zaharadeen Ibrahim, Publicity Secretary; Shiitu Abdullahi Malancy, Assistant Publicity Secretary; Hon. Yusuf Muhammad Anka, Organising Secretary; Hon. Kabiru Attahiru, Financial Secretary; and Hon. Shehu Black, Welfare Secretary.

The Forum also constituted two standing committees to support its activities and improve internal coordination.

The Finance Committee has Hon. Abdulkadir Maikiyo as Chairman, Hon. Kabiru Gayyari as Secretary and Hon. Sanusi Sarki as a member.

The Religious Committee is headed by Hon. Lawal Dan Antu as Chairman, with Hon. Sani A. Mohammed as Secretary and Hon. Muhammad Makwashe as a member.

Explaining the decision to retain Dauran, the Forum said his reaffirmation reflected the confidence and trust placed in him by its leadership and members, citing his capacity, commitment and leadership qualities.

Reacting to his renewed mandate, Dauran expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the Forum for the confidence reposed in him.

He described the mandate as a call to greater responsibility and pledged to provide leadership based on humility, dedication, consultation and unity.

Dauran also assured members that his administration would work with stakeholders across Zamfara State to strengthen the Forum, promote unity among supporters and advance what he described as the political objectives and aspirations of the Matawalle political family.

He further pledged to support the political efforts and strategic initiatives of Matawalle, particularly the mobilisation and organisational activities under the Tinubu Again Support Movement ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The Chairman called on supporters, coordinators, stakeholders and members of the Forum across the state to remain united, disciplined and committed to the collective cause.

He said the strength of the movement depended on unity, loyalty, organisation and effective grassroots mobilisation, urging members to put aside personal differences and work towards the success of the movement.

The Amalgamated Matawalle Forums reiterated its determination to remain an organised platform for mobilising support, strengthening political structures and contributing to the political programmes of the leadership it supports.

The Forum congratulated Dauran and members of the newly constituted State Executive Council, wishing them wisdom and success in their respective responsibilities.
