The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kano State Council, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid al-Adha celebration.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Acting Secretary of the Council, Hauwa S. Zahradeen, the union described Eid al-Adha as a spiritually significant period for reflection, devotion and renewed commitment to the teachings of Islam.
The Acting Chairman of the Council, Comrade Mustafa Gambo Muhammad, said the festival provides Muslims with an opportunity to strengthen their faith and emulate the virtues and exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) for the betterment of society.
He urged the Muslim Ummah to continue promoting peace, tolerance and unity for the collective progress of Kano State and the country at large.

Comrade Gambo also commended members of the Kano NUJ Council for their commitment to professionalism and ethical journalism, praising their continued efforts in delivering factual, balanced and timely information to the public.
According to him, journalists in the state have continued to demonstrate responsibility and dedication in the discharge of their duties despite prevailing challenges in the media industry.
The acting chairman further prayed for sustained peace, mutual understanding and development in Kano State, expressing hope that the Eid festivities would strengthen harmony among residents.
The council also offered special prayers for Nigerian pilgrims currently performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia, wishing them a spiritually rewarding pilgrimage and safe return to the country after the exercise.
