Kano Govt to Commission Dan Agundi Flyover, Underpass in May

The Kano State Government has announced plans to commission the Dan Agundi Flyover and Underpass Road project within the month of May as part of efforts to improve urban mobility and ease traffic congestion in the state.

The Commissioner for Works and Housing, Marwan Ahmad Aminu, disclosed this during an inspection tour of the project site.

According to him, the completion of the road infrastructure is expected to significantly reduce traffic challenges and improve the daily experience of residents, while also boosting economic activities across the state.

“The project will ease the sufferings of the people of Kano and enhance their well-being, as well as support the economic development of the state,” he said.

The commissioner further stated that the administration of Abba Kabir Yusuf remains committed to delivering key infrastructure projects, with a target to complete several ongoing developments before the end of 2026.

The Dan Agundi Flyover and Underpass is among major urban renewal projects being executed by the state government to modernise road networks and improve transportation efficiency in Kano.
