Schools across Kano State resumed today for the 2025/26 academic session, with Sumaila Local Government Area recording a massive turnout of pupils and students in both primary and secondary schools.
This was conveyed in a statement signed by the Information Officer of the council, Haruna Gunduwawa, ANIPR, who said monitoring across communities in the area revealed a high level of enthusiasm among students, parents, and educators, signaling a promising start to the new school year.

The Sumaila Local Government Council commended teachers, parents, community leaders, and security agencies for their support in ensuring a safe and smooth resumption process.
