NU Synergy opens CNG conversion, refuelling centre in Kano
NU Synergy has inaugurated a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicle conversion and refuelling centre along Zaria Road in Kano State, in a move aimed at expanding access to alternative fuel options for motorists and transport operators.
The facility was inaugurated at a ceremony attended by the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf; the National Coordinator of the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas and Electric Vehicles, Barrister Ismael Ahmad; and the state Commissioner for Transportation, Barrister Haruna Isa Dederi, alongside other stakeholders.
The centre is designed to provide vehicle owners, commercial drivers and transport operators with CNG conversion and refuelling services as an alternative to conventional petrol-powered transportation.

The inauguration brought together transport union leaders, traffic management officials, vehicle owners and other industry stakeholders, highlighting the role of collaboration between government and private investors in expanding alternative fuel infrastructure.
The investment comes amid ongoing efforts to expand CNG infrastructure across Nigeria as part of initiatives to provide more affordable transport options and reduce the cost of operating vehicles. The Presidential Initiative on CNG and Electric Vehicles has identified the expansion of conversion centres and refuelling stations as key components of the national clean mobility drive.
