Kano Polytechnic begins 2026/2027 part-time admission, announces available courses

Kano State Polytechnic has commenced online applications for admission into its 2026/2027 academic session part-time programmes, offering opportunities for both working-class people and other prospective students seeking to pursue National Diploma (ND), Advanced Diploma (AD) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes.

The part-time programmes provide an opportunity for workers and other individuals who may not be able to undertake conventional full-time studies, as well as students who wish to pursue their education through the part-time mode.

The admission covers various fields, including Public Administration, Mass Communication, Business Administration and Management, Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Computer Science, Marketing, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, Science Laboratory Technology and others.

This was conveyed in a statement signed by Dr. Ramatu Adamu Muhammad, Director, School of Continuing Education and Postgraduate Studies (SCEPS), Kano State Polytechnic.

According to the statement, the ND programmes available include Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Business Administration and Management, Cooperative Economics and Management, Library and Information Science, Marketing, Mass Communication, Office Technology and Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, Civil Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Pharmaceutical Technology, Printing Technology, Science Laboratory Technology, Hospitality Management and Statistics.

The Polytechnic also listed Advanced Diploma (AD) programmes in Art and Industrial Design, Accounting and Finance, Administration and Management, Administration and Management (OTM), Computer Science, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology and Pharmaceutical Technology.

For HND programmes, available courses include Business Administration and Management, Public Administration, Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Computer Science, Cooperative Economics and Management, Electrical/Electronics Engineering (Power), Marketing, Electrical/Electronics Engineering (Telecoms/Electronics), Mechanical Engineering Technology (Plant/Power), Office Technology and Management, Pharmaceutical Technology, Printing Technology, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Science Laboratory Technology (Biochemistry), Science Laboratory Technology (Biology/Microbiology), Science Laboratory Technology (Chemistry), Science Laboratory Technology (Physics/Electronics), Networking and Cloud Computing, Software and Web Development, and Civil Engineering Technology.

The statement said candidates seeking admission into the ND programmes must possess five O’Level credits in relevant subjects.

For Advanced Diploma programmes, applicants are required to possess an ND or OD in a relevant field, while candidates seeking admission into the HND programmes must possess an ND or Advanced Diploma in a relevant field.

The Polytechnic said the programmes are being administered through the School of Continuing Education and Postgraduate Studies (SCEPS), providing candidates with an alternative route to acquire or advance their qualifications through part-time study.

Interested applicants have been advised to visit the Kano State Polytechnic online portal for part-time programmes to commence the application process.
