Dr. Asiya Ganduje attends ICAN Kano investiture, advocates mentorship for young professionals

Dr. Asiya Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, a corporate executive, financial expert and academic leader, has underscored the importance of mentoring young professionals as a catalyst for sustainable national development.

Dr. Asiya made the remark while attending the investiture ceremony of the 45th Chairman of the Kano and District Society of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Reflecting on the significance of the event, she described the occasion as an opportunity to reaffirm the collective responsibility of experienced professionals to guide and inspire the next generation of leaders.

“It is with immense pleasure and gratitude that I attended the investiture ceremony of the 45th Chairman of the Kano and District Society of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. Such moments remind us of the need to continue mentoring our young professionals for sustainable development,” she stated.

Dr. Asiya currently serves as a Technical Advisor (Upstream) at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, a position she assumed in October 2023 after more than a decade of service within the organisation, where she previously held supervisory responsibilities.

A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM), Dr. Asiya is widely recognised for her contributions to corporate governance, financial management and professional development.

The investiture ceremony brought together members of the accounting profession, business leaders and other distinguished guests to witness the inauguration of the 45th Chairman of the ICAN Kano and District Society.
