Federal Government appointees of Kano origin have thrown their weight behind the leadership of the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, while pledging full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
The declaration was made during a stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja, where the Director General of the National Productivity Centre (NPC), Dr. Baffa Babba Dan Agundi, spoke on behalf of directors-general, executive secretaries, managing directors, and other officials serving in federal agencies.
Dan Agundi praised President Tinubu for entrusting Kano indigenes with key positions in government, describing the appointments as both a privilege and a responsibility to contribute meaningfully to national development.

He stressed that those appointed from Kano remain firmly aligned with Ganduje’s leadership, noting that his guidance continues to strengthen APC structures in both the state and at the national level.
“We reaffirm our loyalty to President Tinubu and assure him of our commitment to work tirelessly for the success of the APC in the 2027 general elections,” he said.
The NPC boss also urged party members, Kano citizens, and Nigerians at large to rally behind the president’s policies, which he said are designed to drive economic growth and improve the lives of citizens.
Observers say the endorsement signals a renewed consolidation of APC’s base in Kano, as federal appointees align themselves with both Ganduje and the president ahead of the next electoral cycle.
