Ganduje condoles Senator Basiru over mother’s death at 92
Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has expressed heartfelt condolences to the National Secretary of the APC, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, following the passing of his mother, Alhaja Sidikat Basiru, who died at the age of 92.
In a condolence statement personally signed by him, Ganduje described the death of the family matriarch as a great loss, extending his sympathies to Senator Basiru, members of the immediate family, and the entire Basiru family.
The former APC National Chairman described the late Alhaja Sidikat Basiru as a woman of exceptional virtue, unwavering faith, compassion and dignity, whose life was devoted to the worship of Almighty Allah, the upbringing of her family and selfless service to humanity.
According to Ganduje, the deceased lived a fulfilled and exemplary life, leaving behind a legacy of discipline, wisdom, sound moral values and religious devotion. He noted that the outstanding achievements and public service of her children, particularly Senator Basiru, reflected the quality of values and guidance she instilled in them.

“Alhaja Sidikat Basiru’s life was a testament to faith, sacrifice and dedication to family. Her wisdom, prayers and motherly love will continue to remain a source of inspiration and comfort to all who had the privilege of knowing her,” Ganduje stated.
He urged Senator Basiru and the bereaved family to take solace in the fact that the late Alhaja Basiru lived a long, impactful and fulfilled life, touching many lives through her kindness, compassion and commitment to humanity.
Ganduje prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives her shortcomings, accepts her good deeds, grants her eternal rest in Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and gives the family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
