Kwankwaso receives hero’s welcome in Bichi after Katsina condolence visit
Vice Presidential Candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has expressed appreciation over the large turnout of supporters who received him at the party’s headquarters in Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State.
Kwankwaso received the warm reception on Wednesday while returning from Katsina State, where he had paid a condolence visit to the family of the late retired Major General Rabe Abubakar.
According to reports, the former Kano State governor made a stopover at the NDC headquarters in Bichi, where a mammoth crowd of supporters gathered to welcome him.
A video circulating on social media showed hundreds of enthusiastic supporters thronging the party office, chanting slogans and cheering the NDC leader during the visit.

Reacting to the reception, Kwankwaso said he was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and affection shown by the people of Bichi.
“Returning from Katsina tonight, I was overwhelmed by the joyful and energetic reception from the good people of Bichi, Kano State. Thank you for the tremendous love,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
The reception is being viewed by political observers as another demonstration of Kwankwaso’s continued popularity and influence among his supporters in Kano State and across parts of Northern Nigeria.
The visit came shortly after his condolence engagement in Katsina State, where he joined family members, friends, and associates in mourning the late Major General Rabe Abubakar (Rtd).
Supporters who gathered at the party headquarters described the visit as an opportunity to reaffirm their loyalty and solidarity with the former governor and leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement.
