Murtala Garo Set to Take Oath as Kano Deputy Governor

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, will on Tuesday swear in Murtala Sule Garo as the Deputy Governor of the state.

The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano, by 11:00 a.m., according to a statement issued by the governor’s media aide, Ibrahim Adam.

The statement noted that stakeholders, party loyalists, and members of the public are expected to attend the event, which is also likely to attract top government officials and dignitaries from within and outside the state.

Garo’s inauguration follows his clearance by the Kano State House of Assembly after a successful screening conducted by a 12-member committee last week.
