Murtala Sule Garo has been sworn in as the Deputy Governor of Kano State at a ceremony held at the Africa House, Government House, Kano.
The oath of office was administered by the Chief Judge of Kano State, Dije Abdu Aboki, marking the official commencement of Garo’s tenure as the second-highest executive officer in the state.

The ceremony attracted a high-profile audience, including former governors of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje (2015–2023) and Ibrahim Shekarau (2003–2011), Member Representing Bichi Federal Constituency, Abubakar Abba Bichi, alongside other party leaders, loyalists, and key stakeholders.
The presence of prominent political figures underscored the significance of the event, which also drew dignitaries from across the state.
