
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the commencement of applications for its Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 34/2025.
The announcement, made on Tuesday via the Force’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, calls on qualified Nigerians to seize the opportunity and apply across various professional fields, including engineering, medicine, and cyber-related specialties.
Interested candidates can apply online for free from August 27 to October 7, 2025, through the official NAF recruitment portal: https://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.

According to NAF, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be Nigerian citizens by birth.
- Be between the ages of 20 and 32 years. Medical Doctors (consultants) may apply between ages 25 and 40.
- Must not be serving personnel seeking Branch Commission; personnel above 32 years of age are not eligible.
- Serving personnel must be recommended by their Commanding Officer/Commander, have served for at least 10 years, and attained the rank of Corporal.
- Male applicants must not be less than 1.66m tall and females not less than 1.63m tall.
- Must be free of any previous conviction(s) on criminal grounds by a court of law.
- Must be medically, physically and psychologically fit, meeting NAF medical and employment standards.
- Must possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Division and an NYSC Discharge Certificate or Letter of Exemption.
The Force added that a Zonal General Aptitude Test will hold on a date to be announced on the recruitment portal. Only successful candidates will be invited for the Selection Interview.
