Gaya Polytechnic Implementation Committee Chairman celebrates Prof. Tijjani Buhari

The Chairman of the Gaya Polytechnic Implementation Committee, Prof. Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa, has attended a professorial celebration held in honour of Prof. Tijjani Rufa’i Buhari, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Northwest University, Kano, following his elevation to the distinguished rank of Professor.

The celebration brought together academics, university administrators, community leaders and other dignitaries to honour Prof. Buhari’s academic achievement and contributions to the development of Northwest University, Kano.

Speaking at the occasion, Prof. Kurawa described Prof. Buhari as a good, hardworking and dedicated academic, recalling their close working relationship during his tenure as Vice-Chancellor of Northwest University, Kano.

Prof. Kurawa highlighted Prof. Buhari’s contributions to the institution, noting that he had served the university in several key capacities, including Director of Academic Planning, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration).

Among the dignitaries who attended the celebration were the Vice-Chancellor of Northwest University, Kano, Prof. Amina Salihi Bayero, and Limamin Kano, Prof. Sani Zaharaddeen, alongside other distinguished guests.

The occasion provided an opportunity for colleagues, friends and members of the academic community to celebrate Prof. Buhari’s achievement and recognise his contributions to education and university administration.
