Oluremi Tinubu Commissions Resettlement City for IDPs and Refugees in Nasarawa

First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has commissioned a resettlement city in Keffi, Nasarawa State, built by the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI). The facility accommodates 40 households made up of 239 displaced persons and refugees from Nigeria and neighbouring African countries.

Named in her honour, the city includes housing, greenhouses, a hospital, school, vocational centres, and places of worship. Senator Tinubu donated food items, clothing materials, and cash support N200,000 per household and N50,000 to each farmer.

She urged peaceful coexistence with the host community and reaffirmed President Tinubu’s commitment to restoring hope and dignity through the Renewed Hope Agenda. Officials pledged to replicate the initiative across the country.
