The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has assured passengers that airports across the country remain operational despite the ongoing industrial action by aviation unions.
The Authority gave the assurance in a statement issued to journalists, saying it was closely monitoring developments arising from the industrial action and remained committed to maintaining safe, secure and orderly airport operations.

The Authority said it was working closely with relevant aviation agencies, airlines, security agencies and other stakeholders to minimise the impact of the industrial action and ensure that airport operations were not disrupted.
It also confirmed that earlier operational challenges affecting the movement of some flights within the airside environment had been addressed through ongoing inter-agency coordination.
According to FAAN, measures were being sustained to support the orderly continuation of flight operations and minimise disruptions to passengers.
The Authority reiterated its commitment to ensuring that Nigerian airports remain safe, secure, functional and accessible to passengers and other airport users.
FAAN advised passengers to remain calm and maintain contact with their respective airlines for real-time information regarding their flights.
The Authority appreciated the understanding and patience of the travelling public, expressing confidence that the ongoing engagements under the leadership of the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development would lead to a speedy and mutually acceptable resolution of the industrial dispute.
