CP Kankarofi Visits Governor Ododo, Reaffirms Commitment to Peace and Security in Kogi
The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, psc, mni, has paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State. This was conveyed in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP William Ovye Aya, and made available to journalists on Thursday. The visit, which coincided with that of the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), focused on strengthening collaboration between the State Government and the Police Command to ensure peace, security, and community development across the state. He also briefed the Governor on recent security initiatives, crime-prevention strategies, and upcoming community-policing programmes. The Police Commissioner further highlighted key areas of mutual interest such as intelligence sharing, synergy among security agencies, and joint efforts to curb violent crime in the state. In his response, Governor Ododo reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to supporting law enforcement agencies and pledged full backing for the implementation of security policies aimed at maintaining peace and order in Kogi State. Both leaders expressed optimism that the strengthened partnership between the State Government and the Police would foster a safer and more prosperous environment for the citizens of Kogi State.
