A member of the Kano State House of Assembly representing Ungoggo Local Government Area, Hon. Aminu Sa’adu Ungogo, has died in Kano.
The death of the lawmaker was confirmed on Tuesday by the Public Relations Officer of the Kano State House of Assembly, Kamaludeen Sani Shawai, in a statement to journalists.
According to Shawai, Hon. Aminu Sa’adu Ungoggo developed a sudden illness shortly after arriving at the Assembly earlier in the day. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where medical personnel later confirmed his death.
The late lawmaker was said to have passed away in the evening.

Shawai added that funeral prayers for the deceased would be conducted at about 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Hon. Aminu Sa’adu Ungoggo’s death has thrown the Kano State House of Assembly and the Ungogo constituency into mourning, as colleagues, constituents and political stakeholders continue to pay tributes to his service.
