A private jet operated by Flybird on Sunday morning crash-landed at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), causing panic but no loss of life.
The aircraft, which reportedly flew in from Abuja, was carrying 11 occupants, including three crew members, when the incident occurred at about 9:30 a.m.
An eyewitness at the airport said the jet experienced difficulties while landing and eventually crash-landed on the runway.
“All the passengers were immediately evacuated from the aircraft. There were no casualties,” the eyewitness said.

Airport emergency and safety officials were promptly deployed to the scene, while normal operations were temporarily disrupted to allow for necessary safety procedures.
Details on the cause of the incident were yet to be officially released as of the time of filing this report, while investigations are expected to be carried out by the relevant aviation authorities.
