New Zonal Police PRO Takes Over at Kano Zone One Command

Zone One Police Headquarters in Kano has announced the appointment of DSP Abdullahi Hussaini as the new Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, following a routine administrative reshuffle in the command.

This was conveyed in a statement signed by CSP Bashir Muhammad, the outgoing PRO of the zone.

DSP Hussaini succeeds CSP Bashir Mohammad, who has now been posted to serve as Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) in the Zonal Operations Department.

Before this new role, DSP Hussaini served as the 2nd-in-Command (2IC) Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Kano State Command. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Police Academy, Wudil, where he earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics in 2018.

The new ZPPRO has also completed specialized training, including the Operational Leadership and Command Course (OLCC) at the Police Staff College in Jos, which he completed in November 2025.

Upon assuming duty, DSP Hussaini pledged to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and transparency, emphasizing the importance of building trust and cooperation between the police and the public. He assured the public of timely and accurate information dissemination and encouraged citizens to contact him at 07033093437 for police-public relations matters.

The Zone One Headquarters urged the public to extend full cooperation to DSP Hussaini in his new role, aiming to strengthen effective communication and relations within the Zonal Headquarters.
