
The School of Technology (SOT) Alumni Association under Kano State Polytechnic, has commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State for his commitment to the school’s development. The association’s chairman, Auwalu Rabi’u Spikin, made this known during an inspection visit to the school, stating that the institution had received unprecedented attention under Governor Abba’s leadership.
This was conveyed in a statement signed by Auwal Ismail Bagwai, Head of Public Affairs. According to Rabi’u Spikin, Governor Abba is a man of integrity who prioritizes the state’s educational sector, and his efforts will enhance the institution’s infrastructure and image.

The statement listed some projects executed by the state government at the school, including the construction of ring drainage and interlocking tiles, repairs to heavy-duty printing machines, asphalt overlay, and general renovations.
The Chairman appealed to the state government to utilize the school’s workshops to produce high-quality street lights, student seats, books, and other government items, which would boost the school’s revenue and strengthen students’ practical learning.
