Minister of State for Defence, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, has arrived in Kebbi State following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive for immediate action over the abduction of 25 schoolgirls from Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga.
Matawalle touched down at the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi, where he was received by a military guard of honour mounted by troops of the Nigerian Army. He arrived in company of senior military personnel and was later escorted by a government delegation to the Presidential Lodge, where he is expected to coordinate high-level security engagements.
The Minister’s visit marks a significant Federal Government intervention aimed at strengthening search-and-rescue operations, improving intelligence coordination, and enhancing security deployment across vulnerable communities in Kebbi State.
