Gunmen have struck again in Kwara State, abducting four rice farmers in Bokungi Village, Edu Local Government Area. The attack occurred on Wednesday evening while the farmers were working in their fields.
The attackers arrived suddenly, surrounding the farmers as they gathered their harvested rice, and forced them into the nearby bush before taking them away to an unknown location. Community members say rising insecurity in Edu LGA has pushed many farming settlements into fear and near abandonment.
