The family of the late former President, Muhammadu Buhari, on December 15, 2025, launched a biography titled From Soldier to Statesman: The Legacy of Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The event attracted high-profile dignitaries, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu; the widow of the late president, Aisha Buhari; the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu; President Adama Barrow of The Gambia; the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar; and the author of the book, Dr. Charles Omole, among others.
Speaking at the launch, President Tinubu described Buhari as a leader of quiet strength, discipline and integrity whose legacy would continue to inspire Nigerians.

“President Muhammadu Buhari left behind a reputation for integrity, a spartan lifestyle, and the belief that public office is a trust and not a windfall,” Tinubu said.
The president also reflected on his political journey with Buhari, describing him as a consistent patriot whose honesty was acknowledged even by critics, adding that their partnership underscored the importance of cooperation across political differences in the interest of national unity.
