Former local government chairmen in Kano State who served between 2014 and 2024 under the administration of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term and reaffirmed their loyalty to the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Chairperson of the Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as the party’s leader in the state.
The endorsement was disclosed by the former Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Kano State, Baffa Takai, during a closed-door meeting with APC stakeholders from the state held in Abuja.
The former council chairmen also expressed solidarity with APC stakeholders under the leadership of Hon. Abubakar Kabir Bichi, commending their efforts at promoting unity, cohesion, and progress within the party.

They called on other party members to join hands with them in fostering peace and strengthening internal harmony within the APC, stressing that unity remains critical to the party’s success.
The group further reaffirmed its commitment to the ideals and principles of the APC and pledged to continue working collectively to strengthen the party and ensure victory in future elections.
