
The burial of former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has been rescheduled from Monday to Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State announced the change while addressing journalists on Monday. He explained that the decision followed consultations with Buhari’s family and close associates in London, where the former president passed away.

“We have consulted with his family and those around him in London, and it has been agreed that the body will arrive tomorrow by 12 p.m.,” Governor Radda stated.
He further confirmed that the burial will take place at 2 p.m. in Daura, Buhari’s hometown in Katsina State.
The late president’s remains are currently en route from the United Kingdom to Nigeria.
President Buhari died on Sunday in London after a prolonged illness that had not been made public.
