The 2026 edition of the Kano Facebook Connect has been described as a historic and inspiring gathering, bringing together vibrant and forward-thinking youths from across Kano to engage, connect, and explore opportunities in the digital space.
Speaking at the event, the Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, expressed delight at participating in what he termed a “landmark convergence of Kano’s proud and promising youths,” emphasizing the importance of such platforms in shaping the future of the state.
He noted that the initiative aligns with the vision of the administration of Abba Kabir Yusuf, which places strong emphasis on youth development, digital innovation, and inclusive governance as key drivers of sustainable growth in the state.
Addressing the youths, Waiya reiterated that the Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Yusuf remains unwavering in its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote development and empowerment. He assured participants that the administration is ready to invest in programs that enhance youth productivity, innovation, and digital engagement.
