By Umar Idris Shuaibu, Kano

Former Chairman of Kano Municipal Council and Senior Legislative Aide to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Fa’izu Alfindiki, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, urging Nigerians to uphold the virtues of compassion, unity, and mutual respect.

In a goodwill message marking the end of Ramadan, Alfindiki described the holy month as a period of spiritual renewal, self-discipline, and increased devotion to Allah, noting that its lessons should guide daily conduct beyond the fasting period.

He emphasised that the essence of Ramadan lies in promoting love, generosity, and empathy, particularly towards the less privileged, stressing that such values are essential for building a just and inclusive society.

The former Kano Municipal Chairman also highlighted the importance of national unity, calling on Nigerians to rise above ethnic and religious differences in the collective interest of peace and development.
