
The Haramain Sharifain has announced that the crescent for the month of Shawwal 1447 AH was not sighted in Saudi Arabia today, confirming that Eid-el-Fitr will be observed on Friday, 20th March 2026 in the Kingdom.
The declaration marks the official end of Ramadan in Saudi Arabia, as Muslims prepare for the Eid festival, a time of prayers, charity, and family gatherings. The sighting of the Shawwal crescent determines the start of Eid in accordance with the Islamic lunar calendar.
