The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday evening announced the sighting of the crescent moon marking the beginning of Ramadan, confirming that the holy month will commence on Wednesday.
The announcement followed verified reports from authorized moon-sighting committees across the Kingdom, in line with Islamic traditions.
With the confirmation, Muslims across Saudi Arabia will begin fasting at dawn on Wednesday, ushering in the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar observed through prayers, reflection, and charitable acts.

Ramadan is widely regarded as a period of deep spiritual devotion, during which Muslims abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs from dawn to sunset.
Mosques across the Kingdom have concluded preparations to receive worshippers for Taraweeh prayers, while authorities have finalized arrangements to ensure smooth services throughout the holy month.
Government institutions and private organizations are also expected to implement adjusted working hours in line with the Ramadan schedule.
