Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has dissolved the State Executive Council with immediate effect.
The dissolution was announced on Thursday, marking a significant development in the state’s political landscape.
Following the directive, all commissioners and special advisers have been instructed to hand over to the permanent secretaries or the most senior officers in their respective ministries pending further decisions.

Governor Fubara expressed appreciation to the outgoing members of the Executive Council for their service to the state and wished them well in their future endeavours.
The development was conveyed in a statement issued on Thursday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Onwuka Nzeshi.
