The leadership of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State has reached an understanding with the families of the late Kano State House of Assembly members on the process of replacing them.

The state chairman of the party, Dr. Hashim Sulaiman Dungurawa, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen, following consultations held by the party’s national leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Dungurawa explained that the agreement was reached after Kwankwaso met with key stakeholders of the party and the families of the deceased lawmakers at his residence in Kano.

He expressed optimism that the prospective replacements, Sa’ad Aminu Sa’ad and Nabil Aliyu Daneji, would uphold the political legacy and public service values of their late fathers.

It will be recalled that the two Kano State Assembly lawmakers passed away on December 24, 2025, after separate illnesses, creating vacancies in the state legislature.

Dungurawa reiterated the party’s commitment to ensuring a smooth, respectful, and lawful replacement process in line with party guidelines and electoral regulations.
