
The Birnin-Kudu Old Boys Association (BIKOBA) has concluded all arrangements for its 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled to hold on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Government Unity College, Birnin-Kudu, Jigawa State.
This was conveyed in a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of BIKOBA, Mahmud Ibrahim Kwari, and made available to The Historica Nigeria online newspaper on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the AGM will commence at 9:00am in the Assembly Hall of the college, featuring a keynote public lecture to be delivered by Alhassan Mohammed, an Assistant Director at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The lecture, titled “Enhancing Career Development Through Information Technology,” will examine the importance of digital skills and the effective deployment of ICT tools for career advancement in a rapidly evolving technological era.
The event will be chaired by Pharmacist Hashim Ubale Yusuf, while the Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, FCA, is expected as Special Guest of Honour.
Former Governors of Kano and Jigawa States, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje (CON) and Alhaji Sule Lamido (CON), will serve as Guests of Honour.

Other distinguished alumni expected to grace the occasion include Africa’s richest man and President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote; Senator Mustafa Habeeb representing Jigawa Central Senatorial District; and several notable personalities from diverse sectors who passed through the prestigious institution.
His Highness, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, CFR, JP—himself an alumnus of the college—will serve as the Royal Father of the Day, while the National President of BIKOBA, Alhaji Ja’afar Usman Muhammad (Turakin Gaya), will serve as Chief Host.
Highlights of the AGM include presentation of awards to deserving personalities, as well as the ratification and approval of the audited financial report of the Association for the outgoing year.
The statement added that government officials, traditional rulers, community leaders, PTA executives, School-Based Management Committee members, and friends of BIKOBA are expected to attend the historic annual gathering.
