The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, psc, mni, was today celebrated in Kano as family, friends, scholars, associates, and well-wishers gathered for a special Walimah in his honour, marking his recent promotion and the academic achievements of his two children.
The event, held at Meena Events Centre, Lodge Road, Nassarawa, Kano, featured prayers and goodwill messages, expressing gratitude to Allah for elevating CP Kankarofi to the prestigious rank of Commissioner of Police.
The Walimah also honoured Faiz Nazir Bello for memorizing the Holy Qur’an, and Nazir Bello Nazir for completing his Qur’anic studies.

Speaking at the event, the celebrant, CP Kankarofi, expressed deep gratitude to Almighty Allah for his new rank and pledged to serve the Nigeria Police Force and the nation with dedication, sacrifice, and strict adherence to professional ethics.
“This rank is a trust. I will uphold justice, serve with integrity, and dedicate myself to the safety and peace of Nigeria,” he stated.
In separate remarks, Professor Ibrahim Bello Kano, elder brother to the celebrant, described him as a disciplined and humble family man, noting that despite his demanding profession, he remains emotionally attached and responsible at home.
Also speaking, renowned Islamic scholar Dr. Abdallah Gadon Kaya, who is also a neighbour to the celebrant, described CP Kankarofi as a devout Muslim and a caring community member. He prayed for Allah’s guidance, protection, and greater achievements in his new role.
The ceremony drew a large turnout of dignitaries, family members, clerics, police colleagues, and community members — all offering prayers for success in his career and blessings for his family.
Special prayers were offered for CP Kankarofi and his children, asking Allah to grant them more wisdom, protection, and progress.
