President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has written to the Senate, requesting the screening and confirmation of Dr. Bernard Mohammed Doro from Plateau State as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The letter, which was read on Wednesday by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during plenary, was subsequently referred to the Committee of the Whole for consideration and report.

The Historica Nigeria reports that Doro’s nomination follows the emergence of Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in July. Yilwatda had previously served as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
It will be recalled that President Tinubu on Tuesday announced the appointment of Dr. Doro as a new minister from Plateau State.
