Ganduje’s Associates Reassure Public of His Well-being

Close associates of the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Chairman of the Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, have dismissed rumours circulating on social media suggesting he is hospitalised in London.

Speaking in an interview with DCL Hausa on Wednesday, Salihu Tanko Yakasai, a longtime political ally of Dr. Ganduje, described the claims as false and unfounded.

“Dr. Ganduje is in good health. He travelled two days before the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari. I am aware that he even visited the late president privately, though there were no pictures because it was not an official visit. In sha Allah, he will return home in sound health,” Yakasai said.

Similarly, Ahmad Gogel, a close associate of Dr. Ganduje’s youngest son, Muhammad, confirmed that Dr. Ganduje is in good spirits and healthy. “This clearly dispels the false rumours circulating about his condition. We thank God for his continued well-being and pray for his lasting health and strength,” Gogel reiterated.

It will be recalled that Ganduje’s absence during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s condolence visit to the family of late business mogul Alhaji Aminu Dantata in Kano stirred reactions in the political space. Many observers expected the former governor to accompany the president due to their close relationship.

However, in a statement earlier released by his former Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, it was clarified that Dr. Ganduje had a pre-scheduled engagement in London, which kept him away from public events temporarily.
