The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Kano Municipal Chapter, has suspended its Chairman, Ibrahim Rabiu Change, and his Deputy, Zakari Mamuda Koki, for six months over alleged poor performance and failure to provide effective leadership.

According to the statement, the suspension followed a meeting held at the NNPP secretariat in Sharada, where 22 out of 28 executive members voted in favour of the decision.

“They have failed to convene meetings as stipulated in the party’s constitution and have not been inclusive in their leadership approach,” Danba’ura explained. “This decision was taken in the best interest of the party, to safeguard its integrity and ensure unity among members.”

As of the time of filing this report, the party has not announced who will assume the roles of chairman and deputy during the suspension period.
