Kano State Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has paid glowing tribute to two retiring officers of the Ministry for Higher Education, Sunusi Abdullahi Kofar Na’isa, Chief Public Relations Officer, and Zubairu Idris, Store Officer, describing their careers as exemplary and impactful.
Speaking at a sendoff ceremony organized in their honour, the Deputy Governor, who also serves as the Commissioner for Higher Education, commended the duo for their years of dedicated service. Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Hadi Bala Yahaya, mni, the Deputy Governor hailed Sunusi Kofar Na’isa as a passionate and professional officer who elevated the ministry’s image through effective communication and strategic engagement.

Dr. Hadi Yahaya described Kofar Na’isa as “a paragon of professionalism and dedication,” whose contributions were instrumental in promoting the ministry’s reputation. He also praised Zubairu Idris as a meticulous and organized officer whose attention to detail and commitment to excellence ensured the smooth operation of the ministry’s store and logistics.
As the celebration unfolded, heartfelt speeches and warm tributes poured in from colleagues and directors, highlighting the retirees’ integrity, hard work, and positive influence over the years. Notable among them were Alhaji Shehu Sani Shehu, Director of Administration and General Services; Alhaji Nura Abba Dandago, Director of Quality Assurance; and Dr. Nazir Datti Yasayyadi, Director of Special Assignments. Each commended the retirees for their dedication and team spirit.
In their response, Sunusi Abdullahi Kofar Na’isa and Zubairu Idris expressed profound gratitude for the recognition and support they received throughout their careers.
